The names of the places have been changed earlier too

After this, in August he talked about renaming Lake Ontario, located between America and Canada, to Lake America. The move comes at a time of tension between the US and Canada over trade. After the name change in the US government’s Geographic Names Information System (GNIS), Google and Apple also began showing the names of the Gulf of America and Lake America in their map and location services for US users.
Also asked to change the name of the Strait of Hormuz
Trump also suggested renaming the Strait of Hormuz to Trump Strait during the Iran War. He shared such pictures on his social media platform Truth Social, in which his name was written Trump Straight.
Trump said he will not change the names of the Mississippi and Hudson rivers of America. He said about the Mississippi River that he likes this river.
