Where was the export made?
GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali said in a statement that export growth of 9.43 per cent in September and 3.07 per cent in the first half of FY 2026-27 is encouraging. This shows that despite uncertainty in global trade, India’s exports of gems and jewelery are increasing. Exports of studded gold jewelery increased by 50.23 per cent to $812.6 million in September 2026, indicating strong performance in the sector.”
He said exports have been boosted by good performance in key markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore and France and benefited from better access to trade under the India-UK trade agreement and tariff cuts by the US. Bhansali said one of the reasons for the increase in exports of plain gold jewelery in September was the normalization of the situation in Dubai.
