On the one hand, political tension was seen on Friday over the tricolor rally in the country’s capital, Delhi. Around 150 protesters were detained by the Delhi Police amid an appeal to gather to hoist the tricolor in Central Park at Connaught Place. They include Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke and AISA National President Neha Bora. Opposition leaders are targeting the central government and the Delhi Police over his detention. On the other hand, people from the Indian community from America to Britain came out in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Members of the Indian community in London demonstrated in support of Prime Minister Modi outside the Indian High Commission in response to protests by the Congress-backed NSUI and other similar groups. Meanwhile, people carrying cutouts of PM Modi and tricolors in their hands raised slogans in support of him.

‘PM Modi has been democratically elected by the people’
A person involved in the protest said, ‘We have gathered here to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India, as they have been democratically elected by the people of India and have a full democratic right to remain in power. Prime Minister Modi has the mandate of the people. While on one hand people talk about poverty, on the other hand, the opening of 30 crore (300 million) bank accounts for the poor by Prime Minister Modi’s government is a remarkable achievement.
‘Young people don’t understand the impact of their actions’
A female supporter said, ‘These young people don’t understand the impact their actions can have. Sitting outside India and giving such statements which in our view defames the country. They do not understand its consequences. Raising voice for one’s rights and defaming India are two different things. You can express your concerns, but you should not do anything that will damage the country’s reputation abroad.
American singer and actress Mary Milben supported
American singer and actress Mary Milben has also come out in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Recently, he supported PM Modi through a post on social media and appealed to the Indian youth to stand for the country’s political stability. Along with this, he also accused the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) of getting funding from America. He said that American donors who oppose PM Modi are sending money to Abhijit Deepke.
‘This is no time to be silent…’
According to Mary Milben, this money is being used to spread unrest in India and disrupt the work of the government. In his post, he appealed to the youth of India to raise their voice and wrote, ‘This is not the time to be silent’. He urged the youth of India to unite and hold a peaceful protest against those political forces.
Allegation of Mary Milben
Milben says some American funders follow a definite pattern of targeting right-wing leaders around the world. He alleged, ‘Such people find an American-educated person in a country, radicalize him, send him back to his country and fund him to spread chaos and destruction’. Defending PM Modi’s political journey, he said that he has been in the government for 25 years and has been serving the people and has been the Prime Minister for 12 years. They will not bow to such forces coming from America. Milbane said, the youth must protect democracy, freedom and the future of the country, which is under the elected leadership of the country.
Criticism of Mamdani and Obama
Milben’s support for Modi goes far beyond the CJP controversy. He has also criticized New York Mayor Johran Mamdani for his comments about the Indian Prime Minister and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He said that those who promote democracy, religious freedom and unity should speak out more strongly in their defense. He criticized former US President Barack Obama for mistreatment of Indian Muslims and said that India is not restricting people’s freedom in any way.
PM Modi’s feet were touched
When Modi visited America in 2023 and met Milben, he touched the PM’s feet as a mark of respect. Earlier this month, he also spoke in a debate over Elon Musk and Starlink’s attempts to enter the Indian market. When Musk spoke to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi amid questions over Starlink’s license, Milben advised Musk to approach Modi instead of Gandhi. He said it is important for foreign companies wishing to do business in India to respect India’s leadership. He also accused Rahul Gandhi of showing disrespect to India and the Prime Minister.
His admiration for Modi is both personal and political. He has called PM Modi his friend, wished him on his birthday and praised his leadership on completing 25 years in public life. In a message, he called Modi a shining example.
