Now you will get monthly honorarium instead of daily, DA will be added
Guest teachers in Delhi are currently paid an honorarium on a daily basis. For example, guest teachers are paid according to the number of days they attend in a month. There is a provision to give Rs 1000 per day. Preparations are underway to give monthly honorarium to guest teachers under the new system. This monthly honorarium will be determined on the basis of Basic Pay and Dearness Allowance (DA). As per the proposal prepared by the Director of Education, 60 percent dearness allowance is to be given. However, dearness allowance may be revised from time to time.

Guest teachers will be on contract only, 8 holidays a year
As per the proposal prepared by the Directorate of Education, the guest teachers will not get any right to be regularized. Their employment status will be on contract only. At the same time, provision has been made in the proposal to grant casual leave of eight days annually to guest teachers. It is also clarified that in case of absence beyond the prescribed holidays, the daily allowance will be deducted from the monthly honorarium.
You will get honorarium even on holidays
The Directorate of Education has clarified in the prepared proposal that now fixed monthly honorarium will be given to guest teachers even during summer and winter vacations. If guest teachers are called for admission process, additional classes during leave, additional payment will be made.
The guest teachers welcomed the proposal
The guest teachers have welcomed the proposal of the Director of Education. Regarding this, Shoaib Rana, an official of the Guest Teachers Association, says that the guest teachers have been demanding salary hike and wage determination for the last 8-9 years. Inflation continues to rise and salaries have not increased. In such a situation, the living of the guest teachers was becoming difficult. Meanwhile, efforts have been made by the Directorate of Education to increase and fix the salary of guest teachers which is commendable. The guest teachers are grateful to the Education Department for this.
