Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced an updated version of its flagship Hayabusa in the Indian market, along with a new special edition. The latest model gets fresh colour options, equipment updates and a few technology upgrades aimed at making the premium superbike more refined.
The Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition is priced at ₹19.90 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), while the updated standard version costs ₹18.99 lakh. This makes the special edition ₹91,000 more expensive than the regular model.
Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition: Price and Design
The special edition is offered in an exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue colour. It also gets special decals and uniquely finished wheels, giving the motorcycle a distinct appearance compared with the standard version.
The updated standard Hayabusa, meanwhile, is available with three new colour combinations. Suzuki has focused on exterior detailing while retaining the motorcycle’s familiar overall design and flagship positioning.
New Lithium-Ion Battery
One of the important changes for the updated Hayabusa is the introduction of a new lithium-ion battery. Suzuki says the battery is lighter and more compact, while also providing more stable voltage under load.
The motorcycle also receives updates to its launch control system and power mode selector. The smart cruise control system has been revised as well and can remain active during gear changes, according to the launch information.
1,340cc Four-Cylinder Engine
Powering the Hayabusa is a 1,340cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline-four DOHC engine. The motorcycle continues with a six-speed transmission and Suzuki’s electronic rider-assistance package.
The bike comes with six riding modes and a range of electronic safety and performance features. These include cornering ABS, launch control, traction control and cruise control, along with hill-hold and hill-descent functions.
Features and Equipment
The Hayabusa is built around Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System, which integrates several electronic systems to help manage the motorcycle’s performance. Its equipment package is designed to provide riders with greater control across different riding conditions.
The motorcycle uses Brembo Stylema four-piston front brake callipers with twin discs and ABS, while the rear gets a Nissin brake setup. The current global specification also lists a 20-litre fuel tank and an 800mm seat height.
Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition
For buyers choosing the special edition, the main changes are visual and equipment-focused rather than a completely new mechanical package. The exclusive paint scheme, special decals and different wheel finish help separate it from the standard motorcycle.
Both versions are available through Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships. With the latest update, Suzuki continues to position the Hayabusa as a premium litre-plus performance motorcycle while adding small technology and styling changes for the new model year.
