Royal Enfield has once again increased the price of its most loved motorcycle Classic 350. After the new price update, customers will now have to spend up to Rs 2,000 more to buy a bike. Notably, the company has implemented a price hike across the Classic 350 lineup. After the price hike, the starting ex-showroom price of the Classic 350 is now Rs 1.89 lakh. At the same time, the price of the recently introduced Gorakhpur Edition has increased by Rs 1,000. Its new ex-showroom price is Rs 2.12 lakh.
Apart from this, the Emerald White (Chrome) color option is also priced at around Rs. 2,000 has become expensive. Its new price is Rs 2.26 lakh ex-showroom. It is currently the most expensive trim of the Classic 350 range. In such a situation, if you are planning to buy this bike, it is necessary to check the new price list before booking or visiting the showroom.
There are no changes to the engine
Apart from the price hike, Royal Enfield has not made any mechanical updates to the Classic 350. It means that the engine and other technical specifications of the bike will remain the same as before. It has a 349cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor generates a power of 20bhp and a peak torque of 27Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Classic 350 has long been one of the company’s most important motorcycles and its sales have also been very strong. With its retro design, comfortable riding position and strong road presence, this bike has created a distinct identity for itself in this segment.
This hardware is available in Classic 350
The bike has 19-inch spoke wheels at the front and 18-inch spoke wheels at the rear. The suspension setup includes telescopic front forks and dual springs at the rear. Talking about the braking system, a drum-disc combination is available in the initial variants, while disc brakes are offered both at the front and rear in the upper variants. The curb weight of the bike is 195kg and the seat height is 805mm.
There is competition with these bikes
The Classic 350 competes with 350-400cc modern-classic motorcycles. The Triumph Bonneville 400 is a new option in the segment, trying to attract classic 350 buyers. Apart from this, its competition is with Honda CB350. The Honda bike directly competes with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 based on its classic design and engine setup. After the price hike, it will be interesting to see how much it affects the grip of the Classic 350.
