Bratt eventually settled the contest with a breakaway finish, giving New Jersey its third consecutive victory.

Bratt finished the game with a goal and an assist, helping the Devils improve their record to 11-5-0 this season.

New Jersey has now won three straight games and seven of its last eight, continuing its strong run in the 2026-27 NHL season.

St. Louis refused to give up despite trailing by three goals entering the third period.

Philip Broberg followed with a wrist shot from the left face-off circle at 14:36, cutting the deficit to one goal.

The Blues completed their comeback just 18 seconds later. Dalibor Dvorsky redirected the puck into the net at 14:54 to tie the game 4-4.

Connor McMichael created the opportunity by stealing an attempted pass from Devils goaltender Connor Hellebuyck before setting up the equalizer.

The quick scoring sequence changed the momentum and sent the game into overtime.

Goaltenders and Key Player Performances

Hellebuyck made 28 saves for New Jersey, earning his fourth consecutive victory since joining the Devils in a trade with the Winnipeg Jets on October 23.

Binnington stopped 31 shots for St. Louis but could not prevent Bratt’s decisive overtime finish.

For the Blues, Broberg and McTavish each recorded a goal and an assist. Dvorsky also contributed with the important third-period equalizer.

Jack Hughes and Brett Pesce each finished with two assists for New Jersey, while Hamilton provided the setup for Bratt’s winning goal.

Devils Continue Their Winning Run

The victory improved New Jersey’s record to 11-5-0, with the team now holding a 7-1-0 record over its last eight games.

The Blues dropped to 7-7-2 after suffering their second consecutive defeat. Despite earning a point by forcing overtime, St. Louis left Newark without completing its comeback.

The Devils will take confidence from another victory, although surrendering a three-goal third-period lead will remain an important concern for the team.
