29KM mileage and great features! Deliveries of this Maruti-rival SUV have begun

Renault India has started deliveries of its new Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160. The company launched the SUV on October 17 and now, almost three weeks later, its keys have started reaching customers. The first delivery took place at the company’s new showroom in HITEC City, Hyderabad. On this occasion, a senior Renault official personally handed over the keys of the SUV to the first customer.

The special thing is that the company has started its delivery around Diwali. Hyderabad is among the cities where petrol-electric Duster has the highest bookings. It is also the first Renault car in India to be equipped with the company’s E-Tech self-charging hybrid system.

On the occasion of the commencement of deliveries, a Renault India official said that the company is fulfilling its promise and handing over the keys of the Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 to customers around Diwali. According to the company, there is good interest among customers regarding this SUV.

Renault Duster Hybrid: Price and Variants

Renault Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 can be bought in three variants Evolution, Techno and Emotion. Its base Evolution variant has been priced at Rs 16.99 lakh ex-showroom. While for the top emotion variant you have to spend 19.49 lakh rupees.

These introductory prices are applicable for customers who take delivery of the SUV by December 31, 2026. Customers booking through Renault R-Pass will get priority in car delivery. While the rest of the customers can book by paying Rs 21,000.

Renault Duster Hybrid: Engine and Power

The SUV is powered by a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. Its entire hybrid system together delivers 160 PS of power. At the same time, the electric traction motor generates a torque of 208 Nm.

It has a multimode automatic transmission, which handles power from the engine and electric motor. The company claims that this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.6 seconds.

It does not require a separate charging point to charge its battery. While driving, the battery continues to charge with the help of braking and the energy generated by the petrol engine. That is, it is a self-charging hybrid SUV.
