Renault has launched a new turbo petrol variant of the Triber, which now adds a more powerful engine option to this 7-seater MPV. It is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TCe turbo-petrol engine that generates 100hp of power and 180Nm of torque and this variant is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Renault Triber Turbo Price

The Renault Triber TCe 100 evolution variant is priced at Rs. 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom) and for the top Emotion variant Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom) goes up to. In comparison, the standard Triber variant with the 1.0 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine is priced at Rs. 5.80 lakhs (ex-showroom) starting from Rs. This means that the turbo-petrol version is Rs 2 lakh more expensive.

Renault Triber Turbo Engine Details

The new turbo petrol engine generates 100hp of power and 180Nm of torque, which is much higher than the standard Triber’s 72hp of power and 96Nm of torque. Although the engine is related to the turbo-petrol unit used in the Renault Kiger and Duster, it has been tuned to deliver a higher torque of 180Nm and features an updated engine management system.

Renault Triber Turbo Mileage

The turbocharged Tribur is not only faster than the naturally aspirated version, but also slightly more efficient. Renault claims that the TCe 100 accelerates from 0 to 100 in 10.8 seconds. The vehicle returns a mileage of up to 21 km per liter of oil, while the standard 1.0 liter petrol-manual Triber returns a mileage of up to 19.76 km per liter of oil.

Design changes

The design of the Triber Turbo remains largely unchanged, with the ‘Turbo’ badge at the rear setting it apart. It is based on Renault’s RGEP architecture and is the same size as the standard model, including a 2636mm wheelbase.
