Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched a new special edition of its flagship sports touring motorcycle, the Hayabusa. This new variant will go on sale alongside the standard Hayabusa lineup. The motorcycle gets special styling elements, cosmetic changes and some rider-specific changes, while three new color options have also been added to the standard Hayabusa. The updated Hayabusa is priced at Rs. 18,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the new Hayabusa is available with a special edition priced at Rs. 19,90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
What makes the Hayabusa Special Edition different?
The Hayabusa Special Edition comes only in Pearl Vigor Blue color. Suzuki has updated the Hayabusa with three new dual-tone paint schemes:
- Candy Daring Red / Glass Sparkle Black
- Metallic Galaxy Gray / Candy Burnt Gold
- Pearl Vigor Blue / Pearl Brilliant White
New battery and electronic updates
The new Hayabusa is now equipped with a new ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, which is lighter and more compact than before. Suzuki says this provides a more stable voltage under battery load.
The company has also changed the settings of the launch control system and the power mode selector. Another update has been made to the Smart Cruise Control system, which can now remain active even when changing gears, allowing riders to maintain their chosen speed without pressing the throttle again.
1,340 cc engine released
As before, it has the same 1,340cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, which retains its power. The fuel-injected DOHC motor is tuned to deliver strong torque throughout the rev range and is one of the key features of the Hayabusa.
Suzuki says the exhaust sound has been developed using its Exhaust Sound Quality Evaluation Program. No changes have been made to the premium hardware.
The Hayabusa retains the twin-spar aluminum frame and swingarm with adjustable KYB inverted front forks. The motorcycle gets Bridgestone Battlex Hypersport S22 tyres, while braking is provided by Brembo style front calipers and twin 320 mm floating discs.

As before, the Hayabusa comes with many advanced features, which make riding the bike easier and safer. This includes:
- Motion Track Traction Control System
- Two-way quick shift system
- Suzuki Easy Start System
- Low RPM assistance
- Slope control system
- LED lighting throughout the bike
Price and Availability
The Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition and the updated standard Hayabusa will now be available at Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships across the country. Suzuki Original Accessories and Hayabusa branded riding gear will also be available to buyers.
