Bihar University Admission: Spot round admission starts on vacant seats in universities of Bihar, apply through Samarth portal.

The process of spot round admission is going to start to fill the vacant seats of undergraduates in universities and its affiliated colleges in Bihar. Students can apply through Samarth portal. Several universities including Patna University and Patliputra University have issued guidelines in this regard. Students who could not get a seat despite applying earlier will also get a chance in the spot round. Along with this, Patliputra University has also taken a new decision regarding the fifth semester internship. Now the colleges have to make their own agreement with the institute to arrange the internship.

Admission through spot round to vacant seats

Spot round application for remaining UG undergraduate seats in Bihar universities will start from Tuesday. Students can apply through options available on Samarth portal. Before applying, it will be necessary to check the information of seats available according to the college and subject.

Opportunity to choose 10 colleges and 5 subjects

Students can fill options of maximum 10 colleges in spot round. Along with this, five new subjects can also be selected as your choice. While choosing the college and subject, students have to check the vacancy status carefully.

Students who applied earlier also get a chance

Students who had applied earlier but could not get admission in any college or course can also participate in spot round. Already registered students have to apply with their login id. No extra fee will be charged from them for this. No quota based admission will be given in this round. The list of eligible students will be released in October.

New System of Internship in Pataliputra University

Pataliputra University has also made changes regarding the internship of fifth semester students. The old internship contracts have been abolished for the 2026-27 session. Now the colleges have to enter into a fresh agreement with the institutes.

Colleges have to coordinate themselves

The university has said that students should be given priority for internships in institutes listed on the official website. If the university does not have a direct agreement with any institution, the principal of the college and the new internship coordinator have to make a new agreement. After this the college has to inform the university through email.
