There is an important news for the candidates who are preparing for Post Graduation in Medical. Registration for NEET PG 2026 Counseling Round 1 starts from October 12. Eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) mcc.nic.in. Candidates will get admission in MD, MS and other PG medical courses in medical colleges through counseling. The entire process will be carried out in four stages.

Candidates have to complete the registration and choice locking within the stipulated time, after which the seat allotment result will be declared.

First round schedule

The verification of seat matrix in the first round of NEET PG 2026 counseling will be held from October 10 to 12. The registration and fee deposit process will run from October 12 to 21. Candidates can lock the college and course selection from October 13 to 22. The seat allotment will take place on October 22 and 23 while the result will be declared on October 24. Candidates who get seats have to report to the respective college between 26th October to 2nd November. Data verification of joining candidates will take place on 3rd November.

These documents will be required

During registration and reporting to the college, candidates have to produce NEET PG scorecard, MBBS degree and marksheet, medical registration certificate, internship certificate, photo identity card and proof of date of birth. Also carry caste, disability and migration certificates if applicable. It is also important to keep their scanned copies along with the original documents.

How much counseling fee to pay?

General category candidates have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000 for 50 per cent All India Quota and seats in Central Universities. For SC, ST and OBC candidates this fee is Rs. 500 is For general category Rs. 25,000 and for reserved category Rs. 10,000 security deposit has been fixed. The registration fee for all classes in deemed universities is Rs 5,000. A security of 2 lakh rupees has to be deposited here. The security deposit will be refunded as per rules.
