These 10 institutes have topped the NIRF 2025 medical category of the Ministry of Education.

  • AIIMS, New Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences has bagged the first position in the country. Candidates taking admission in PG course can check information about their preferred specialization and seats here.
  • PGIMER, Chandigarh: Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research bagged second position.
  • CMC, Vellore: Tamil Nadu-based Christian Medical College is third. Before taking admission here it is necessary to know about the respective course and admission rules.
  • JIPMER, Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research bagged the fourth position.
  • SGPGIMS, Lucknow: The Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, located in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is at the fifth position.
  • BHU, Varanasi: Banaras Hindu University has been ranked sixth in the medical category.
  • Nimhans, Bengaluru: This institute belonging to the field of mental health and neuroscience has bagged the seventh position.
  • KGMU, Lucknow: King George Medical University ranks eighth in the ranking.
  • Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore: This institute based in Tamil Nadu has bagged the ninth position.
  • Kasturba Medical College, Manipal: This college located in Manipal, Karnataka has secured the tenth position.
