This is an important update for candidates who are waiting for admission to MBBS and other medical courses through NEET UG 2026. Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has started the application process for Stray Vacancy round of NEET UG 2026. You can register till 14th October. It is also important to fill college and course options during application. At the same time, the seat allotment result will be announced on October 17.
Along with filling the required information in the online form, the candidates will also have to deposit the prescribed registration fee. All details should be checked carefully before applying.
When will we be able to fill the college and course selection?
After registration, candidates can fill college and course choices from 12th to 15th October. The seat allotment will take place on October 15 and 16 while the result will be declared on October 17. Candidates who get the seat will have to complete the admission process by reporting to the respective medical college from 19th to 26th October.
Which candidates will not get a chance?
Candidates who already hold the seat or who have already accepted the allotted seat cannot participate in Stray Vacancy round. Candidates who do not get admission by taking seats in the third round will not be eligible. MCC will share candidate data with central and state counseling authorities after the third round. If the candidate does not take admission in the allotted seat, his security deposit may be forfeited.

- Open the UG counseling section on the website.
- Click on the registration link for NEET UG 2026 Stray Vacancy Round.
- Complete the registration by entering the requested information.
- Fill the application form and pay the prescribed fee. After submitting the form, download the confirmation page.
- Keep the printout of the application form safe for future use.
