NSP Scholarship 2026-27: Scholarship renewal by 31 October, OTR required

The scholarship application and renewal process for the academic session 2026-27 is underway on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Eligible students who wish to avail the various scholarship schemes of the Central Government can apply online till 31 October 2026. Students who have already received scholarships will also have to renew them on time. These include PM-USP CSSS and special scholarship scheme for Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. Opportunity to apply till 31st October

As per the prescribed schedule of NSP, the last date for submission of applications for the scholarship is 31 October 2026. After this, the concerned institutions have to complete the verification of the application by 15 November 2026. Whereas, the last date for Level-2 (L2) verification is fixed on 30 November 2026 so that students should not face any problem in such situation. Verification process.

No application without OTR

One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory before applying for scholarship at NSP. Under this, students get a unique number, which remains valid throughout their academic life. OTR number can be generated from Aadhaar or Aadhaar Enrollment ID (EID).

A solution to deal with the authentication problem

Students should update UIDAI Aadhaar Face RD app if error 904 appears during face authentication. Students whose Aadhaar biometrics is locked can complete the process by unlocking it through mAadhaar app or My Aadhaar portal.

Important Notices for Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities must consent to sharing their UDID information by logging into the UDID portal before applying. Only after this they can submit the scholarship application.

You can also apply from CSC

Students who cannot apply online themselves can take help from the nearest Common Service Center (CSC). Here a total fee of 30 rupees is fixed to complete the registration and application process. Prepare all necessary information and documents before applying.
