An important update regarding UPSSSC PET 2026 is out for the candidates who are preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the revised schedule of Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET). Earlier this exam was proposed to be held on October 23, 24 and 25, but now the dates have been changed. According to the new date, the exam will be held in October and November. Candidates appearing for PET will now have to plan their preparation and examination according to the revised schedule. The exam will be conducted in two shifts.

According to the revised time table announced by UPSSSC, the PET 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts. In the first shift, the exam will be held from 10 am to 12 pm, while in the second shift, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Candidates must read the instructions given in their admit card before reaching the examination centre.

When will admit card be released?

The admit card for PET 2026 will be released soon on the official website of UPSSSC. Candidates can download it online. First of all candidates have to go to UPSSSC official website upsssc.gov.in. Click on the admit card related link on the homepage of the website. After this select UPSSSC PET Admit Card 2026 link. After entering the required login details, the admit card will appear on the screen. Download it and take a print out for future.

How many marks will be in the exam?

A total of 100 multiple choice questions will be asked in PET and the exam will carry 100 marks. There will be questions from subjects like Indian History, National Movement, Geography, Indian Economy, Constitution and Public Administration, General Science, Elementary Arithmetic, General Hindi and General English. Apart from this, questions will also come from logic and reasoning, current affairs, general awareness, interpretation and analysis of unread Hindi passages and graphs. There will be negative marking of fourth mark for giving wrong answers in the exam.
