Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has created a recruitment opportunity for the youth who are preparing for government jobs. The Commission has invited applications for the posts of Law Officer, Specialist Grade II, Assistant Legislative Counsel and Junior Technical Officer. Total 13 posts will be filled under this recruitment. The application process has started and eligible candidates can apply online till 16 October 2026. Educational qualification and experience conditions are prescribed for various posts. 13 posts will be recruited

Total 13 vacancies are included in this UPSC recruitment. It includes 3 posts of Law Officer, 1 post of Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) Cardiology, 8 posts of Assistant Legislative Counsel (Grade IV of Indian Legal Service) and 1 post of Junior Technical Officer (Sugar Technology).

Eligibility for various posts

The educational qualification of the candidates differs post wise. For the respective posts, qualification like Degree in Science or Engineering, Degree in Law or Diploma in Sugar Technology from a recognized University or Institute is sought. For some posts, experience in relevant field is also required. Age limit may also vary according to the post. So, before applying, please check the eligibility, experience and age limit in the official notification.

Eligible candidates can fill the form through UPSC online application website upsconline.nic.in. First of all you have to go to the website and create an account and enter the requested information. After this, fill the required details in the application form and submit the relevant documents. If post fee is applicable, pay the same and submit the form. After completion of the application, it is advisable to keep a copy safe.

What is the application fee?

SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates need not pay application fee. The application fee for other category candidates has been fixed at Rs 25. Fees can be paid through online mode.

How will the selection be made?

Candidates can be selected on the basis of shortlisting and interview. If necessary, the commission may also conduct a recruitment test. The final information regarding the selection process can be found in the UPSC official notification.
