Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) is generally associated with the training of IAS officers. However, clearing the UPSC exam is not the only way to get here. LBSNAA’s National Center for Law and Administration (NCLA) has launched a four-week academic internship for final year law students. This will give the deserving students an opportunity to gain a close understanding of law, administration, governance and public policy. The special thing is that the selected students will be given free accommodation and food in the LBSNAA campus.

Final year students can apply

This internship is for students studying in a recognized university or law college. Final year students of 3-year LLB and final year of 5-year integrated LLB program can apply for this. Academic achievements of the students will be given importance in the selection. Performance in national level moot court competitions and published research papers can also be beneficial for candidates.

Selection will be made on the basis of merit

Candidates will be selected for internship based on their qualifications and achievements. Documents submitted along with application, College ID and Moot Court achievements will be verified. Shortlisted students will be informed by LBSNAA through email. The internship will be unpaid, meaning no stipend will be provided to the students. Currently no information is given regarding age limit and application fee.

Free accommodation and food

Despite not getting stipend, students will get many facilities in this internship. Selected interns will get free accommodation and boarding facilities at the LBSNAA campus during the four-week period. They may also get an opportunity to interact with senior administrative officials, policy experts and academics.

An opportunity to understand governance and public policy

During the internship students will have the opportunity to work on topics related to administrative law, governance and public policy. This includes legal research, case studies, policy analysis, legal drafting and understanding administrative processes. Students can also work on various academic and research projects with the faculty.
