The US has withdrawn all its bomber aircraft from Britain’s RAF Fairford airbase. This airbase was used by the US Army to attack Iran. America has taken this decision amid the investigation of the attack plot on this airbase of Britain. According to a Pentagon official, the American bombers have been sent back to their military bases in the United States. An official gave this information on condition of anonymity.

Groups that monitor aircraft movements, such as the Military Air Tracking Alliance, have seen dozens of B-52 and B-1 bombers at RAF Fairford since the early days of the Iran War. Many B-1 bombers took off from this airbase on Sunday as well.

There has been growing concern over a terrorist attack plot

US planes have been recalled amid an investigation into a possible terror attack plot in Britain. Last week, a man with dual British-Iranian citizenship was arrested in London on suspicion of plotting a terror attack. In late September there was a security incident at RAF Fairford Airbase. A total of 6 people were detained in this case. All were later released on bail.

British officials have expressed fears that the incident may be linked to Iran. However, Iran has denied any involvement. Iran has previously said any military base used for attacks on its territory is a legitimate target for it. British officials allege that groups linked to Iran are carrying out arson and attacks in Britain and other countries. Many of these attacks were targeted at the Jewish community. Their purpose was to spread fear among the people.

Is America preparing for a new attack on Iran?

RAF Fairford Airbase is approximately 160 km west of London. The US has been using this airbase in wars in the Middle East for decades. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump is considering several options, including new attacks on Iran. As he left the White House on Saturday for a rally in Ohio, he said that Iran was completely destroyed. He said a decision had to be made whether to take the easy way out with Iran or take tough measures. Trump initially told the American people that military action against Iran would only last a few weeks.

On the other hand, America is increasing its military strength in the Middle East. On Thursday, a US official said a group of warships led by the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier and the USS Makin Island was moving towards the area. The group has more than 7,000 sailors and 2,000 Marines. By the end of October, three US aircraft carriers could be deployed in the Middle East.
