An Iranian Sunni cleric has said that local communities will continue the legacy of Brigadier General Hossein Zarifi, highlighting his commitment to public service, regional security and relations with residents.

Molavi Ahmad Sepahi, a respected Sunni religious figure from Golshan County in Sistan and Baluchestan province, made the remarks in an interview with Mehr News Agency.

Sepahi described Zarifi as a commander who dedicated his efforts to serving local communities and maintaining security in the region. He also compared Zarifi’s approach to public engagement with that of the late commander Nour Ali Shoushtari.

Ahmad Sepahi Highlights Hossein Zarifi’s Commitment to Public Service

According to Sepahi, one of the defining qualities of Hossein Zarifi was his sincerity in serving people.

He said Zarifi built strong relationships with residents from different sections of society through his conduct and direct interactions. His approach to public service helped him earn a special place among people in the region.

Sepahi added that Zarifi’s work reflected a commitment to addressing local needs while contributing to security and stability in the area.

Call for Unity and Regional Stability

During the interview, Sepahi also spoke about the wider importance of unity and solidarity in maintaining peace.

He said those who lost their lives while working for public safety had made significant sacrifices. According to him, communities have a responsibility to preserve social cohesion and continue supporting efforts aimed at regional stability.

Sepahi stressed that residents would remain united in the face of threats and challenges. He said cooperation and solidarity were essential to protecting the region’s security.

Zarifi’s Legacy and Connection With Local Communities

Sepahi reiterated that Zarifi’s legacy should be remembered through continued service to the public.

He said the sacrifices made by those who worked to protect communities carried a responsibility for the people who remained. Maintaining unity and remembering their contributions, he added, were important parts of that responsibility.

The cleric also emphasized that Zarifi’s dedication to public service and his relationship with local residents would remain significant aspects of his legacy.

His comments reflect the importance local community leaders place on public service, security and unity in Sistan and Baluchestan.
