Netanyahu was preparing to attack Iran before the election, how did America stop him?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad Chief Roman Goffman planned to attack Iran before the October 27 elections. But America got this information. After this, the American administration intervened and stopped this operation. Israel’s TV Channel 12 made this claim in its report on Friday. However, this claim has not been independently verified.

According to the report, many senior officials of Israel’s security agencies were against the plan. He feared that attacking Iran could lead to a major war between the two countries. Due to which the election to be held on October 27 may also be postponed. However, preparations for the attack continued. It was said that an Israeli security official had made a mistake, which led to the US receiving information about the operation. After this Washington took immediate action and stopped the plan. Channel 12 said it showed the news under Israel’s military censorship rules.

There was a dispute between the army chief and Netanyahu

Earlier on October 25, Channel 12 reported on tensions between Netanyahu and Israeli Army Chief Eyal Zamir. The report said Netanyahu ordered the military action. Army officials fear it could escalate tensions with Iran.

Zamir opposed this action. He sought further discussion and written legal approval from Netanyahu. On October 26, Channels 12 and 13 reported that Zamir was the only senior security official to oppose Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz’s plan. Netanyahu dismissed the reports as nonsense. The Prime Minister’s Office also dismissed the latest report. He said that Netanyahu has already made it clear that there are no plans to attack Iran before the election.

Appeal to Trump to start the war again

The news comes at a time when Qatar-mediated talks are underway between the US and Iran to end the war. According to the report, Netanyahu appealed to US President Donald Trump to resume attacks on Iran after the midterm elections. However, Trump wants more time for talks. On Friday, Trump said that the US is in talks with Iran and not a single soldier has been killed in the last six-seven months. He claimed that Israel and the entire Middle East would not exist today if he had not stopped Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
