Oppo has introduced its new software ColorOS 17 in the global market. New design, better performance and many features based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) have been added to it. According to the company, this update for Oppo Find X10 series will be released on 22 October 2026 in India. At the same time, eligible devices from Oppo, OnePlus and Realme will start receiving the update from October 29.

However, not all smartphones will get the new software simultaneously. The company will release it in phases and the process could last till the first quarter of 2027. The update includes select phones from Find, Reno, K and F series along with some smartphones and tablets from OnePlus and Realme.

What’s new in ColorOS 17?

Oppo introduced Living Flow design in ColorOS 17. Under this, the interface will have visuals, smoother animations and more responsive touch controls. In addition, the new Luminous render engine is designed to improve phone performance and reduce memory consumption.

The company claims that rendering load can be reduced by up to 30% and RAM usage can be reduced by up to 25% in some situations. It is also claimed to improve app launch stability by up to 55% and thumbnails to load up to 50% faster when opening the gallery for the first time.

Talking about AI features, services like ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity are integrated with AI Mind Pilot. Its agent mode can help organize files and photos, rename them, and prepare travel plans. At the same time, with the help of an AI photo agent, photos can be edited by giving instructions in plain language. AI MindSpace will organize saved documents and video links in a place where they can be easily found later. Apart from this, AI Call Guard can warn about potential fraud calls. It also includes AI-powered voice and face fraud detection.

When will ColorOS 17 update come to Oppo phones?

The rollout of the update in India will start from October 29, 2026. According to company details, various devices will get the update on these dates and months:

October 29: Find the N6, Find the X9 Ultra, Find the X9s, Find the X9 Pro and Find the X9.
October 30: Find N5, Find X8 Pro, Find X8 and select Reno16 series models.
November 2026: Find N3, Find N3 Flip, Reno15 and Reno14 series, select models of K14, K13x, F33, F31 and F29.
December 2026: Reno13, K13, K13 Turbo and Oppo Pad 3 and Pad 5 series tablets.
Q1 2027: Find the N2 Flip, Reno12 series and select F series phones and Pad SE tablets.

The OnePlus Pad 4 is scheduled to receive the update from October 29, while the OnePlus 15R, OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13s are scheduled to receive the update from October 30. Realme GT 8 Pro series will start receiving updates from October 29 and GT 7 Pro and Realme 16 Pro can receive OnePlus and OnePlus other series from October. Update in November, December or first quarter of 2027.

How to check update in phone?

Go to the phone’s settings to check the availability of ColorOS 17. After this open about device and select software update option. If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions.

Before installing updates, charge your phone sufficiently, use a stable Wi-Fi connection and backup important data. Note that the update date may vary depending on the model and sector. The arrival of a fixed date does not mean that all eligible phones will get the update on the same day.
