Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, is seeing tremendous enthusiasm among consumers. As soon as the delivery started in India, the demand for this phone increased so much that the entire stock available on Blinkit in Delhi-NCR was sold out in just 5 minutes. Now the company is trying to collect more units, so that customers can get another chance to buy it in the coming weeks.
Called Blinkit at 8:15am, stock out in 5 minutes
Albinder Dhindsa, CEO of Blinkit’s parent company Eternal, gave this information on social media platform X. He said the delivery of the iPhone Duo started on Blinkit on October 23 at 8:15 am. Currently this facility was available only for Delhi-NCR customers.
All the units were sold out within minutes of the phone going on sale. According to Dhindsa, it took only 5 minutes for the stock to be exhausted. He also said that Blinkit is working to make more units of the phone available in the coming weeks. In such a case, customers who did not receive the phone the first time may have to wait for the next consignment.

The first week’s stock in India has also been exhausted
Demand for iPhone Duo is not limited to Blinkit. According to a PTI report on October 22, Apple sold the stock of the iPhone Duo in India in the first week before it went on sale. The report stated that Apple stores in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and New Delhi’s Saket recorded the highest pre-bookings. The number of bookings in both the stores is said to be almost the same. Pre-booking of iPhone Duo in India started from October 16. Early booking figures show that there is a lot of interest in the foldable iPhone among consumers who have been waiting for it for a long time.
Price starts from ₹2,99,900
The iPhone Duo price in India ranges from ₹2,99,900 to ₹4,49,900 depending on the storage variant.
Storage wise prices of all variants:
- 256GB (base variant): Rs 2,99,900
- 512GB variant: Rs. 3,24,900
- 1TB variant: Rs. 3,74,900
- 2TB (Top Variant): Rs 4,49,900
When the phone is closed, it has a 5.4-inch display, while when opened, the screen size becomes 7.6-inches. According to Counterpoint Research Director Tarun Pathak, the phone’s foldable design, large screen and user interface could attract existing Apple customers as well as customers who have been waiting for a foldable iPhone for a long time.
He believes that initially iPhone Duo can contribute more to increase the total sales volume of the foldable smartphone market in India, while its impact on the total number of sales will be visible gradually. With this, there can be more discussion in the foldable phone market.
Delivery arrived by January after pre-booking
Demand for the phone has also affected delivery dates. Within minutes of the start of pre-booking, Apple extended the estimated delivery time to the last week of January. This means that some customers who book the phone now may have to wait a long time for delivery.
According to a Reuters report, Apple described the customer response as excellent. Currently, amid high demand and limited supply, the company is facing the challenge of increasing the availability of the phone. The arrival of new stock on Blinkit in the coming weeks and Apple’s increased supply will determine how soon customers can get their hands on the iPhone Duo.
