Vivo X500 Series Gets BIS Certification in India, Three Models Expected to Launch Soon

Vivo appears to be preparing its next flagship smartphone lineup for India. Three devices from the upcoming Vivo X500 series have reportedly received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), pointing to a possible Indian launch in the coming weeks.

The certified models include the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max. According to reports citing the BIS database, the smartphones carry model numbers V2619, V2621 and V2610, respectively.

The development is significant because all three variants have reportedly appeared in the certification records together. This suggests Vivo could bring its complete flagship lineup to India rather than limiting the market to selected models.

However, BIS certification does not confirm an official launch date, Indian pricing or the final specifications of the devices. Vivo has yet to announce an India-specific launch schedule.

Vivo X500 India Launch: What the BIS Listing Reveals

The Bureau of Indian Standards certification is an important regulatory step for electronic products entering the Indian market. The appearance of the three Vivo smartphones in its database indicates that the company is preparing the devices for potential Indian availability.

Previous reports have suggested that the Vivo X500 series could arrive in India by the end of November 2026. However, December remains another possibility, considering Vivo’s previous launch schedule for its flagship X-series smartphones.

For context, Vivo introduced the X300 and X300 Pro in India on December 2, 2025, before opening sales on December 10. The company could follow a similar schedule for its next-generation flagship phones.

Vivo X500, X500 Pro and Pro Max: Expected Specifications

The three smartphones are expected to target different segments of the premium smartphone market. While the standard X500 focuses on a balanced flagship experience, the Pro and Pro Max offer higher-end hardware.

The standard Vivo X500 is listed with a MediaTek Dimensity 9600M processor, while the two premium variants use the Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset built on a 2nm process.

Display sizes also differ across the lineup. The X500 is reported to feature a 6.59-inch display, the Pro comes with a more compact 6.36-inch panel, and the Pro Max offers a larger 6.85-inch screen.

All three models are associated with high-refresh-rate displays, with reported support for refresh rates of up to 144Hz.

Vivo X500 Pro vs Pro Max: Camera Differences

Camera hardware is one of the biggest differences between the Vivo X500 Pro and Pro Max. Both smartphones share a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera, but their telephoto systems are different.

The Vivo X500 Pro reportedly features a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with an 85mm-equivalent focal length. The Pro Max upgrades this hardware to a 200MP telephoto sensor with the same reported focal length.

The higher-resolution sensor could offer more flexibility when capturing distant subjects and cropping images. However, actual image quality will also depend on optical performance, stabilization and image processing.

Both models are also reported to support ZEISS camera technology and optional telephoto accessories. The Pro Max is listed with support for an additional 400mm-equivalent ZEISS telephoto extender, while a 200mm-equivalent accessory is available for both variants.

For users who prefer a smaller flagship phone, the X500 Pro offers a more compact display and lighter design. The Pro Max, meanwhile, combines a larger screen with upgraded telephoto hardware.

Vivo X500 Series Battery and Charging Details

Battery capacity is another major difference between the three smartphones. The standard Vivo X500 is reported to pack a 7,500mAh battery, while the Pro model comes with a 6,510mAh cell.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max has a reported 7,800mAh battery in some markets. However, its capacity varies by region, with the Chinese version listed at 8,000mAh and the European variant at 6,750mAh.

All three models are reported to support 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Indian specifications may differ, so buyers should wait for Vivo’s official announcement before treating these figures as confirmed.

Vivo X500 Series Expected Price in India

Vivo has not announced official Indian prices for the X500 lineup. Pricing information from other markets provides some indication of where the smartphones could sit in the premium segment.

The previous-generation Vivo X300 launched in India at Rs. 75,999 for its 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. The X300 Pro started at Rs. 109,999 for its 16GB RAM and 512GB variant.

The new Pro models feature upgraded processing hardware and camera systems, which could place them in a similar or higher premium price category. However, there is currently no confirmed Indian price for any Vivo X500 variant.

The standard X500 could serve as the more accessible option within the lineup, while the Pro Max is expected to occupy the highest tier.

Vivo’s official India launch announcement will be important for confirming the final pricing, storage configurations, availability and regional hardware differences.

With three models reportedly clearing BIS certification, the Vivo X500 series is moving closer to a potential India launch. More details about the smartphones are expected as the company prepares its next flagship release.
