There is a big update for students studying in Delhi University (DU). DU students no longer have to wait for their degrees after completing their studies. Under the new system, DU will allocate degrees to students in the year in which they complete their studies. For this DU is now working on a plan to organize convocation ceremony soon, under which now DU will organize convocation ceremony in the month of November every year. Students will be awarded their degrees at this convocation.

Let’s know the whole matter in detail. Let’s know what is the current rule of DU for awarding degrees. We will also know what kind of preparations are being made under the new rules.

The degree was awarded in one year

The present rule of allotment of degrees in DU was a source of trouble for students. For example, currently any student’s studies are completed between June and August, but DU organizes a convocation ceremony in February every year, where degrees are awarded to students who have completed their studies. In this system, students earned their degrees after one full academic semester. Thus his entire year was ruined.

Now this year in November the convocation will be held on 20th

By changing the system, DU has now decided to organize the convocation in the month of November every year. In this series, the convocation ceremony is going to be organized on 20th November this year. More than 1.30 lakh students will be awarded their degrees in this convocation. All these are students who completed their studies in June-July this year.

In fact, DU has decided to organize convocation in November every year in the interest of students. This is because many times students need a degree for jobs or higher education, but not having a degree deprives students of such opportunities. However, in such a situation, students have the option to apply for an advanced degree, for which a fee of over Rs 700 will be required. Students will no longer have to wait for their degrees from the November convocation.
