Pune, Maharashtra: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has extended the application deadline for its Pune Board housing lottery for the third time, giving applicants additional time to complete the process for 4,462 homes. The latest extension follows delays in the verification of mandatory documents.
The application deadline, previously set for October 22, has now been extended to October 30, 2026, according to reports. The delay is linked to technical issues affecting the online verification system used to check applicants’ documents.
Why Has MHADA Extended the Pune Lottery Deadline?
The decision comes after the document verification process was disrupted by technical problems with the MahaIT system. The system has reportedly remained unavailable for several days, leaving applications awaiting verification.
Applicants need to complete checks involving documents such as domicile certificates, income certificates and Income Tax Returns (ITR). Delays in these checks have made it difficult for some applicants to complete their submissions within the original timeline.
The repeated extensions are intended to give applicants more time to finish the formalities and submit their applications.
MHADA Pune Lottery 2026: What Applicants Should Know
The ongoing MHADA Pune housing lottery covers 4,462 homes offered under the Pune Board’s housing schemes. These include homes under the 15 per cent Social Housing Scheme and the 20 per cent Inclusive Housing Scheme.
The application process has already received a significant response from people seeking homes in Pune and the surrounding region. However, pending document verification has affected the progress of applications.
Applicants should check the official MHADA website for the latest schedule, application status and any further announcements regarding the lottery.
Will the MHADA Pune Lottery Draw Date Change?
The repeated extensions could also affect the schedule for the computerized draw. The draw had previously been scheduled for December 4, 2026, but any revised date should be confirmed through an official MHADA announcement.
Applicants are advised to keep their documents ready and monitor the official portal for updates. They should also ensure that their applications and required payments are completed within the revised deadline.
