WhatsApp has introduced four new features for its users. Their aim is to make group chat easier than ever. Now it will help to find important messages in college, office or family group and connect new members with old conversations. The new update includes features like permanent message pin, chat history sharing, group status and unread message filter.

Permanent message pin

Now on WhatsApp, important messages can be kept at the top of the chat for a long time. Previously, pinned messages were removed after a certain amount of time, but the new feature will keep messages pinned until someone unpins them. With this, all members of the group can easily view important information.

Share old chats with new members

Now when a new member joins the group it will be easy to give him/her previous conversation information. Admin or member can share last few days chat history with new member. For this you have to tap on that person’s name in the chat. According to the company, shared chats will also be end-to-end encrypted.

A separate position for the group

WhatsApp’s new group status feature lets you share updates with specific groups. For example, a separate status may be imposed for a family or running club. Group members can react to it and add their status as well. This update will be deleted automatically after 24 hours.

Unread message filter

Now it can be easier to find important messages in large groups. With the new filter, unread chats where someone mentioned you or replied to your message can be seen. It also includes @all mentions, making it easy to focus on important conversations.
