Good news for 10th standard students who are dreaming of studying engineering and medicine in Bihar. Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has started the admission process for free coaching of JEE and NEET for the session 2027-29. Interested students can apply online till 19 November 2026. The selection test for this is possible on December 6. Selected students will get residential coaching in Patna and non-residential coaching in nine divisional districts of the state. The special thing is that students will be given scholarships, free study materials and other facilities along with the studies.
This schedule will be run by BSEB for the session 2027-29. Under this, students preparing for JEE and NEET will be given free education for two years. Residential coaching will be arranged for the students in Patna. Free accommodation and food will also be available here. Apart from this, non-residential coaching centers will be set up in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Gaya and Munger. Students can study at home in these centers.
The scholarship will be available every month
A scholarship of Rs 400 per month will be given to each student studying in residential coaching. At the same time, the scholarship for non-residential coaching will be Rs 1,000 per month. This amount will be given for two years.
You will get better study material
All students will be provided better study material for study. The classrooms will have air conditioners and digital boards. Separate doubt clearing classes will also be conducted to clear the problems encountered during study. JEE and NEET preparation will be provided by experienced teachers teaching in reputed coaching institutes of the country.
There will be four tests every month
A batch of about 50 boys and 50 girls will be formed at the residential center in Patna. Four OMR based or computer based exams will be conducted here every month. Free facility of male and female doctors as well as nurses will be available to take care of the health of the students.
Who can apply?
Students appearing in 10th Annual Examination 2027 of Bihar Board, CBSE, ICSE or any other recognized board can apply for this scheme. However, for this the students should be willing to take admission in Plus Two schools affiliated to Bihar Board in 11th standard.
Application Fee and Selection Process
Students have to apply online by visiting the official website of the coaching committee. For residential coaching program in Patna, an application fee of 100 rupees has to be paid. At the same time, no fee will be charged for non-residential coaching. Last date to apply is 9 November 2026. The selection exam is likely on December 6.
