Countdown begins for Mahindra’s 3 new vehicles! Entry by June 2027, equipped with powerful features

Mahindra is gearing up to further strengthen its grip on the Indian market. The company has confirmed that three new models will be launched in the country by June 2027. Although Mahindra is yet to reveal the names of all the vehicles, it is expected to include the Scorpio Lifestyle pickup, an SUV based on the Vision S concept and the BE 07 electric SUV.

The company informed about its new launch plan during a media briefing regarding Q2 FY27 results. Mahindra’s executive director and CEO (auto and farm sector) Rajesh Jejurikar said the company is gearing up for five major launches in the first half of 2027.

What is Mahindra’s new plan?

The company’s upcoming models will include a new SUV built on the NU_IQ platform, an all-new electric vehicle, a Lifestyle pickup, updates to existing models and a new light commercial vehicle. Three of these models are expected to hit the Indian market by June 2027.

The first vehicle built on the NU_IQ platform could be the production model of the Vision S concept. It was shown in August 2025. According to Mahindra, production of the SUV built on this platform will begin from 2027. Its specialty is that all types of vehicles – petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric – can be built on it.

What will be special about Mahindra Vision S?

The test model of the Vision S has been spotted on the roads several times. Its body design will be a bit boxy. It gets flush door handles, a panoramic sunroof and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel at the rear. The cabin is expected to get a two-spoke steering wheel like the XUV 7XO and a 10.25-inch touchscreen like the Thar range. This SUV can be positioned above the XUV 3XO in the company’s range.

Mahindra BE 07 Electric SUV

The BE 07 could be launched as a new electric SUV. This will be the second model of the company’s ‘BE’ sub-brand and will be positioned above the BE 6. Features like triple-screen dashboard, glass roof, ambient lighting, dashcam and level 2 ADAS can be found in it.

It will be built on the INGLO platform and is likely to get the BE 6’s 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs. It will compete with Tata Harrier EV, Vinfast VF7 and BYD Atto 3 in the market.

The Scorpio Lifestyle pickup will also be launched

Mahindra’s Scorpio Lifestyler will be the company’s new lifestyle pickup. It was introduced in August 2026. It is based on the 2023 Global Pick Up Concept and will get the same body-on-frame chassis as the Scorpio N.

The company has confirmed that its initial ex-showroom price will be Rs. 19.79 lakh will be less. The Scorpio N is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel with 175hp and a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 203hp. Both the engines are expected to be available with a choice of 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. It can also be offered with 4-wheel drive.

Production is being increased

Mahindra is also increasing its production capacity to meet the growing demand for new vehicles. At the end of September 2026, the company’s total capacity to produce SUVs and EVs was around 68,000 units per month. This is planned to increase to 82,000 units by the end of FY27. It will include the capacity to manufacture 70,000 units of ICE SUVs and 12,000 units of EVs.
