Ducati has started bookings for its new adventure bike DesertX V2 in the Indian market. The company has given this information through social media. However, its launch date and official price are yet to be announced. It is expected that the bike could reach Indian showrooms in the next few weeks. Its ex-showroom price is expected to be between 19 to 20 lakh rupees.
The new DesertX V2 was presented to the world at EICMA 2026 by the company. Now even Indian bike lovers can book it. This time the bike has undergone a lot of changes from the engine to the suspension.
The DesertX V2 will come with a new 890cc V2 engine
The new Ducati DesertX V2 will get an 890cc 90-degree V2 engine. It is provided with a monocoque frame. This engine will replace the old model’s 937cc liquid-cooled Testestrata 11-degree engine. The new engine has been specially designed for better off-road performance and longer service intervals. Talking about the performance, this engine churns out 110.3hp of power at 9,000rpm and 92Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. It will get a 6-speed gearbox.
The DesertX Rally will get a more powerful suspension
Apart from the standard model, the company will also offer the DesertX Rally variant. It is designed for people who ride bikes on difficult roads and off-roading.
This variant has a 48mm fully adjustable KYB front fork. It features Kashima and DLC coating with a closed cartridge design. Its front wheel suspension travel has been increased from 231mm to 249mm. At the same time, its seat height is 878mm.
Special wheels for rough roads
The DesertX V2 Rally features lightweight Axel Takasago center-spoke tubeless rims. These are designed to provide better power during off-roading. The rear wheel has 36 spokes and has a thinner rim than the standard model. This can help with biking on bad roads and trails. The Rally variant also features a monocoque frame. The weight of the bike without fuel is 209 kg.
You will get many advanced features
The new DesertX V2 will have a 5-inch TFT display and cruise control. Apart from this, features like riding mode, power mode, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and engine brake control have also been provided.
The bike will also be available with a bi-directional quickshifter. With it, the rider can shift gears up and down without pressing the clutch. Now Indian customers are waiting for its launch and official price.
