Who is Mandeep Bhandari?

Mandeep Bhandari is a 2001 batch IAS officer. He was born on 14 December 1974. He is an officer of AGMUT cadre. Since March 6, 2023, he has been working as the Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Bhandari has held many important positions in his administrative career. It includes posts like Deputy Commissioner/DM, SDM, Additional Development Commissioner, Additional Secretary, Director, Additional CEO and Joint Secretary. He has also worked as PS to Minister.

Now he will become the chairman of CBSE

The central government has appointed Mandeep Bhandari as the new chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE. According to a government order by the Department of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Bhandari has been appointed to the post of CBSE Chairman under the Ministry of Education.

The Government has now upgraded this post to the rank and pay scale of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. The ACC order issued on September 25 has also mentioned several senior level appointments along with Bhandari’s appointment.

Will CBSE system change amid OSM controversy?

Recently, questions were raised about OSM i.e. On-Screen Marking System in CBSE. Under this system, answer sheets are checked digitally. Complaints of students were raised regarding this and questions were raised on the process of digital assessment.

Apart from this, the procurement of the system, technical arrangements and data security were also investigated. At such a time Mandeep Bhandari has been entrusted with the responsibility of CBSE.

When will the date sheet of board exam 2027 come?

The date sheet of CBSE 10th and 12th board exams to be held in 2027 has not been announced yet. After the date sheet is declared, students can download it from the official website of CBSE, cbse.gov.in.

After the release of the date sheet, students have to go to the website and click on the PDF link related to the 10th and 12th exam time table. After this a PDF containing the exam dates will open on the screen. Students can download it and save it for future.
