IIT Hyderabad has launched a new certificate program for professionals and students preparing to pursue a career in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The institute’s four-week Applied AI Professional Certification Program will run from October 24 to November 14, 2026. This course will be conducted in hybrid mode. In this, participants will be trained not only in the theory of AI but also in building, operating and managing AI systems in real situations. The course covers essential topics such as AI agents, RAG, multi-agent systems and evaluation of AI systems.

The program will be for four weeks

This program at IIT Hyderabad is specially designed for those who want to understand the practical application of AI. According to the organization, there is a growing demand for professionals in the field of AI who can build reliable and effective AI systems for real business needs. Keeping this need in mind, practical training has been emphasized in the curriculum.

The training will be imparted in four main modules

The course has four main modules. The first module will explain the foundation of reliable AI agents. It includes topics such as model selection, tool calling, structured output, retry logic, and recovery. The second module will provide training on Knowledge, Memory and Production (RAG). In which topics like document chunking, semantic search, long term memory, reranking and protection from prompt injection will be taught.

In the third module, information about graph-based multi-agent systems will be given. Practical training will be provided on multi-agent systems, orchestration, checkpoints and MCP.

The fourth module covers evaluation, observability and launch. In this, the process of testing an AI system and launching it into production will be explained to the participants.

IIT faculty and industry experts will provide the training

Industry experts along with faculty members from IIT Hyderabad will also provide training in the programme. To complete the course, participants must submit source code and evaluation materials. Additionally, they must also demonstrate a working production-style AI agent application.

First 20 applicants will get fee waiver

Early-bird registration has begun with limited seats. The fee for the first 20 applicants has been kept at Rs 45,000 (including taxes). After this, the registered candidates will have to pay Rs 50,000 (including taxes).
