The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a facility to obtain duplicate scorecards for candidates whose original scorecards have been lost or damaged due to any reason. Candidates appearing in other exams of NTA including JEE Main, NEET UG, CUET PG can avail this facility. However, before applying for duplicate scorecard, candidates must check their scorecard on DigiLocker. If the scorecard is available there, it can be downloaded and used. In such case, there will be no need to apply separately.
First check the scorecard on DigiLocker
NTA has advised the candidates to check their record on DigiLocker before applying for duplicate scorecard. Scorecards of many candidates may already be available there. In such a situation, candidates can download the scorecard from DigiLocker only. If the scorecard is not available on DigiLocker, only the candidate has to apply for the duplicate scorecard.
Application has to be made in the prescribed form
Application form for duplicate scorecard is given in Annexure-1 of information issued by NTA. Currently, unless the online application portal is available, candidates can apply in the prescribed format. While applying, the candidates will also have to provide the necessary required documents. Application form and documents have to be sent as per the procedure prescribed by NTA.
A hard copy is also required after e-mail
Candidates must first send the documents related to the application through e-mail. After this, the hard copy of the application form should also be sent to NTA. Registered Post or Speed Post can be used for this. Keep in mind that just sending the application by e-mail is not enough. It will also be necessary to deliver the hard copy of the application to the NTA within the stipulated time. So, before applying, candidates should check all the required documents and the prescribed procedure carefully.
