According to information, NLSIU Bengaluru has invited applications for Graduate Research Fellowship, NLSIU Postdoctoral Fellowship and University Research Fellowship.

Who can apply, how many candidates will get the fellowship

Let’s talk about the eligibility criteria set for the fellowships offered by NLSIU Bengaluru. Candidates applying for a graduate research fellowship under these criteria must have a bachelor’s degree in law or a postgraduate degree in social science, public policy or a related field.

Similarly, candidates applying for postdoctoral fellowships must have completed a PhD in law, social science, public policy or a related discipline within the last three years. Also, it is required that the candidates should not have worked on a postdoctoral post in any other university. While for University Research Fellowship, candidates with PhD, minimum 10 years of teaching or related professional experience and good record of publications can apply. There are 10 seats under Graduate Research Fellowship, while Postdoctoral and University Research Fellowship will be awarded to 5 candidates each.

50 thousand to 2 lakh rupees per month stipend

The selected candidates in the fellowship offered by NLSIU Bengaluru will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. A stipend of up to 2 lakhs is provided. For example, a Graduate Research Fellowship of Rs. 50,000 is provided as a stipend. Therefore, the monthly postdoctoral fellowship is Rs. 1,20,000 and in University Research Fellowship Rs. 2,00,000 stipend is provided. However, the fellowship will be decided on the basis of academic background, experience and overall merit. Selected fellows will normally be based at the NLSIU campus in Bengaluru for the duration of the fellowship.
