However, there has been no change in the price of domestic gas cylinders. Let us also tell you what the prices of commercial gas cylinders have become in four major cities of the country.

Increase in price of commercial gas cylinders

According to media reports, the price of commercial LPG has been increased in all four metros and major cities of the country. First of all, the price of a commercial gas cylinder has increased by Rs 62.50 in the capital of the country, Delhi. After which the price here has gone up to Rs 2,810. Commercial gas cylinder prices have reached this level for the first time since July. On the other hand, the price of a commercial gas cylinder in Patna has seen an increase of Rs 71.50. Commercial gas cylinder prices in Chennai saw an increase of Rs 66.5 to Rs 2,983. The price of commercial LPG in Mumbai has increased by Rs 63 to Rs 2,764.

There has been no change in the price of domestic gas cylinders

On the other hand, there has been no change in the price of domestic gas cylinders. If we look at the figures, the price of domestic LPG in the country’s capital Delhi is Rs 942. While in Kolkata, the price of a domestic gas cylinder is Rs 968. The price of a domestic gas cylinder in Mumbai is Rs 941.50. While in Chennai, the price of a domestic gas cylinder is Rs 957.50. Subsidy continues on Ujjwala scheme

On the other hand, Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, giving information about the 5 kg cylinder, said that the subsidy will be given in the same proportion and the total expenditure on it will be Rs 12,001 crore.

He said that under PMUY launched in May 2016, so far around 10.57 crore mothers and sisters of poor families across the country have been given LPG connections without any deposit. The popularity of the scheme can be gauged from the fact that beneficiaries have taken about 42 crore refills during 2025-26.

Despite ongoing conflict in West Asia and disruptions to traditional energy routes, India has kept its LPG supply chain operational. Imports are being made from various suppliers and efforts are being made to continue shipments safely despite disruptions on key sea routes.

Domestic LPG production was increased by 28% within five days of the March 2026 directive to increase refinery output. Efforts are being made to ensure long-term supply and maintain stocks so that LPG is available to households without any interruption. As a result of these measures, India is able to provide consumers with LPG at the cheapest prices in the world.
