The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for submission of List of Candidates (LOC) of students for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations of the session 2026-27. Schools have been instructed to enter the personal and educational information of students carefully. This includes name, parent or guardian’s name, date of birth and subject chosen. The Board has clarified that the facility of modification will be limited after submission of LOC. Students may face difficulty especially if there is a mistake in subject combination.

Application till 21st October without late fee

Schools can submit student details from 24 September to 21 October 2026 with normal fee. After this, the LOC deposit facility will be available from October 22 to 30 with an additional late fee of Rs 200 per student. The board has advised the schools to check all the information thoroughly before submitting the list.

Opportunity to amend from 2 to 4 November

Information like name, name of parent or guardian and date of birth recorded in LOC will get an opportunity of verification and correction through verification slip from 2nd to 4th November 2026. After this, modification of these details will not be allowed. Schools are therefore instructed to match student information with the admission and withdrawal registers.

Be careful while choosing the subject

The board has asked to be very careful about subject selection. The subjects of the students should be as per the prescribed syllabus of CBSE. If the wrong subject combination is entered, the student may face problem in appearing in the board exam. After submission of LOC, amendments such as change of subject, addition or deletion of student’s name will not normally be accepted. After preparing the final LoC, the schools have to get the signatures of the students and parents. Also, this list should be kept safe in your records.
