Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE), Chandipur, Odisha has invited applications for 50 posts of Graduate and Technician Apprentice. Last date to apply is 12 October 2026. Candidates who have done Degree or Diploma in Engineering can avail this opportunity. Selected candidates will be given one year training. Before applying, candidates should thoroughly understand the information about the posts, eligibility, stipend and application process.
50 Apprentice posts will be recruited
- A total of 50 posts will be filled in this recruitment drive of DRDO. Of these, 15 are for Post Graduate Apprentices and 35 for Post Technician Apprentices.
- Graduate Apprentice posts are for BE/B.Tech pass candidates. It includes 4 posts in Electronics and Communication, 4 posts in Mechanical, 5 posts in Computer Science and 2 posts in Chemical Engineering. Selected candidates will be paid per month Rs. 12,300 will get a stipend.
- Whereas, 35 posts of Technician Apprentice are for Diploma holders. This includes 10 seats in Civil, 8 in Mechanical, 5 in Computer Science, 5 in Electronics, 2 in Electrical, 2 in Automobile, 2 in Cinematography and 1 in Chemical. A stipend of Rs 10,900 per month will be given on this post.
Who can apply?
Only those candidates are eligible for this recruitment, who have completed Engineering Degree or Diploma in regular mode in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026. Candidates having M.Tech or ME degree cannot apply. Candidates who have had previous employment or apprenticeship will also not be eligible. Apart from this registration on NATS portal is required.
How to apply?
Download the application form from the DRDO website. The form has to be filled by typing on the computer. Hand filled forms will not be accepted. Sign the form and send it by post along with the required documents. NATS enrollment number should also be provided along with the application. The envelope must be superscribed ‘Application for Engagement of Apprentice’ and the name of the branch concerned.
Selection will be made on the basis of merit and interview
Selection will be made on the basis of percentage of marks in degree or diploma. After this, selected candidates may be called to PXE, Chandipur for written test or interview. After final selection, join letter will be sent to the candidates through email. Interested candidates should complete the application process before the last date.
