Many students worry about options other than engineering if they don’t get the desired score or rank in JEE Main. They think that not being able to do B.Tech will also lead to loss of good career opportunities, but it is not so. In today’s technology sector, along with a degree, programming, projects, internships and problem solving skills are also very necessary. BCA students can also get good job in IT and software field by working hard in right direction. Entrepreneur and educator Ankur Wariku also advises students to strengthen their skills instead of comparing degrees.
BCA need not be considered compulsory.
Many students consider BCA as a second option after not succeeding in JEE Main and from the very beginning they feel inferior to BTech students. According to Wariku such thinking can be a hindrance in career. Students studying BCA should focus on their programming skills, projects and learning ability.
What is the difference between BCA and BTech?
BCA is generally a three-year graduation course. However, four-year BCA programs are also available in some institutions. While BTech is generally a four-year course. Both may have different career opportunities, but a degree alone is not crucial to getting a job.
Careers can change with skills
Initially, the salary of BCA freshers may be lower than that of BTech CS/IT graduates, but with good projects, internships and strong technical knowledge, BCA graduates can compete for jobs with better packages. Skills like programming, web development, app development, data and AI can be particularly useful.
Exam rank doesn’t decide whole life
Citing his own experience, Ankur Wariku said that he could not crack IIT-JEE and then GATE as well. Despite this he succeeded in his career. From this it can be understood that the result of any single examination does not determine the full potential of a person. Long term learning habits, hard work, experience and skills strengthen career.
