UP Sainik School Admission 2027: The registration i.e. application process for admission in the academic session 2027-28 in Sainik Schools of UP has started. UP Sainik School Society has invited applications for admission to Sainik School in 6th and 9th standard, under which interested and eligible students can register for admission till 25th October. Apart from military-affiliated families, children of ordinary citizens can also apply for admission, but they have to fulfill the prescribed eligibility.

Application can be done online
Registration i.e. application for admission to UP Sainik School in class 6th and 9th can be done online. Online application can be done through official website upsainikschool.org. Registration can be done till 5 pm on 25th October without any late fee. Registration can be done till 31st October with late fee. 2000 rupees has to be paid as late fee. In UP, one can apply for admission in Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey UP Sainik School, Lucknow and Sainik School, Gorakhpur. Both schools have different rules for admission of girls.
Who can apply?
Children of military personnel and common civilians can apply for admission in UP Sainik School in class 6th and 9th. For admission to class 6, the child should have been born between 2 July 2015 to 1 January 2018. Child should have passed 5th. For admission to class 6, the child should have been born between 2 July 2012 to 1 January 2015. Child should be 8th pass. However, children studying in class 5 and 8 can also apply for admission. It is important that the child should be a native of Uttar Pradesh.
Admission on the basis of merit in entrance examination
UP Sainik School will conduct entrance exam for admission to class 6th and 9th. The entrance exam is likely on 20th December 2026. Children will be admitted on the basis of merit in the entrance examination on the available seats.
