American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director Kash Patel and his girlfriend Alexis Wilkins are engaged. Both gave this information on social media on Sunday. Wilkins shared a photo with Patel and showed off her new diamond ring. He joked with the picture, ‘Gone and involved the law. Patel and Wilkins were dating each other since 2023. The age difference between the two is about 18 years. Patel was sworn in as FBI director in February 2025. Wilkins was also present with him at the time.

Who is Alexis Wilkins?

Alexis Wilkins is a country singer and political commentator. She spent part of her childhood in England and Switzerland, but grew up primarily in Arkansas, USA. In July 2025, on The Megyn Kelly Show, she said she loved living in Europe, but Arkansas was her favorite place to live. In a video made for the Prager University Foundation, Wilkins said he was raised in a Christian family and was the only child of his parents.

Studied at Belmont University

Wilkins graduated from Belmont University in Nashville in 2020. According to his LinkedIn profile, he holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. During her studies, she was involved in the university’s ethics debate team. He has also received the Williams-Murray Writing Award and the Economics Critical Thinking Award.

Active in politics along with singing

According to Wilkins, she has been working as a recording artist, artist and writer since August 2007. In April 2023, he released his debut album EP Grit. Apart from this, he also comments on political issues. According to LinkedIn, he has been a consultant for The American Border Story since May 2025. He is also a board member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) since June 2025. He is also an ambassador for Turning Point USA and a contributor to The Unity Project.

The first meeting was held in Nashville.

Wilkins told Megyn Kelly’s show that she first met Patel at a friend’s house in Nashville. He said that he liked Patel’s honesty at first sight. However, it is not known when this meeting took place. Both have similar views on patriotism. Wilkins said their relationship began long before Patel became FBI director. In July 2025, he said that the two had been together for more than two and a half years, during which time he did not think Patel would ever become FBI chief.
