Objective: To facilitate the journey of pilgrims
The purpose of this arrangement is to facilitate the journey of foreign pilgrims coming to perform Hajj. Pilgrims can get all the basic Hajj services in a single package. The ministry said the system will help foreign Haj affairs offices and agencies to create special programs for different groups of pilgrims within a clear and flexible contractual framework.
Preparations for Hajj 2027 begin
Saudi Arabia has started preliminary preparations for the Hajj season of 1448 Hijri i.e. 2027. The ministry has also initiated meetings with Haj affairs offices representing more than 75 countries. In these meetings the plans, rules and necessary arrangements are being reviewed. This initiative is in line with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pilgrim Experience Program. It aims to improve the experience of pilgrims coming to perform Hajj and Umrah and make the entire process more streamlined.
Expansion of Digital Hajj Infrastructure
Saudi Arabia has also expanded its digital Hajj infrastructure in recent years. The Ministry’s electronic platform integrates contracts, operational activities and visa processes into a single system for pilgrims and service providers.
