Samsung launched two new budget phones! Galaxy F08-M08 has 50MP camera, 6 years OS support

Samsung has launched its two new budget smartphones Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 in India. Both phones are part of the company’s Galaxy M and Galaxy F series. Samsung has given information about their design, features, specifications and color options, but their price and sale date are yet to be announced.

The special thing is that there is no major difference in the hardware of Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08. Both the phones are almost identical and only the color option is different. Both the smartphones have a MediaTek Helio G99+ processor, a 6,000mAh battery and a dual rear camera setup.

Samsung Galaxy M08 and F08 Price

Samsung has listed both the phones on its India website. However, the company has not yet disclosed the price information. It is believed that pricing and sales related information may be revealed at the time of launch. Both the smartphones will be available for sale through Samsung’s online store in India. These are introduced in variants with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Talking about the color, Galaxy M08 has been brought in dark blue and Galaxy F08 in silver color.

Software support will be available for 6 years

The Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 have One UI 9, which is based on Android 17. Samsung has promised to provide 6 OS upgrades and security updates for both phones for 6 years. This means that after buying the phone, you will continue to receive software updates for a long time.

Both smartphones have a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display. Its resolution is 720×1600 pixels and the screen supports a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The display can show 16 million colors.

MediaTek processor and IP64 rating

For performance, the Galaxy M08 and F08 have an Octa-core MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset built at 6nm. It has six performance cores, clocked at 2GHz. Apart from this, two performance cores are provided, which work at a speed of up to 2.2GHz. The phone has got an IP64 rating. This means that these devices will be protected from dust and water splashes to some extent.

50MP dual rear camera

Both the phones have a dual rear camera setup for photography. It has a 50MP main camera, with an aperture of f/1.8. It has support for autofocus and digital zoom up to 10x.

Along with this, there is a 2MP depth sensor, which has an aperture of f/2.4. The phone has an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Both phones can record video at 1080p resolution at up to 30fps.

6,000mAh battery and 25W charging

The Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 have a larger 6,000mAh battery. The phone supports 25W wired fast charging. For connectivity, both the phones have 4G LTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB Type-C port. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS are supported for location. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is provided for security. Apart from this, there is also an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. Both phones measure 167.4 x 77.4 x 8.0mm and weigh around 197 grams.
