Sennheiser has launched its latest Momentum 5 series in India, bringing two new premium audio products to the market. The lineup includes the Momentum 5 Wireless over-ear headphones and Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds. Both models focus on high-quality audio, advanced noise cancellation and longer battery life, while also introducing user-replaceable batteries.
The Momentum 5 Wireless is the more expensive model in the new range and is priced at ₹39,990 in India. It features 42mm dynamic drivers and an eight-microphone Hybrid Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation system. Sennheiser says the headphones are designed to deliver detailed sound while reducing surrounding noise during music, calls and other content.
The headphones also support Dolby Atmos spatial audio with head tracking, along with Bluetooth 5.4, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive and AAC codecs. These features are aimed at users who want a more immersive listening experience across music, movies and other compatible content.
Battery life is another major feature of the Momentum 5 Wireless. According to Sennheiser, the headphones can deliver up to 57 hours of playback with ANC enabled. A 10-minute quick charge can provide up to seven hours of playback, while the 700mAh battery can be replaced by the user, potentially making long-term ownership more convenient.
The second product, Momentum True Wireless 5, is priced at ₹29,990. The earbuds use 7mm TrueResponse dynamic transducers and support 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio. They also come with Bluetooth 6.0, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless support, along with Adaptive Hybrid ANC and a Transparency Mode.
The earbuds also support Dolby Atmos with head tracking. Sennheiser claims up to 12 hours of playback from the earbuds and up to 40 hours with the charging case. Unlike many wireless earbuds, both the individual earbud batteries and the charging-case battery are designed to be replaceable.
For durability, the Momentum True Wireless 5 carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. The earbuds are available in Graphite, Cream, Copper, Denim and Lavender colour options, giving buyers several choices across the new premium range.
The Momentum 5 Wireless and Momentum True Wireless 5 were opened for pre-orders in India from September 24, 2026. Sales are scheduled to begin on October 1, 2026. Customers who pre-order can also receive a Sennheiser BTD 600 Bluetooth USB dongle, valued at ₹5,990, as part of the launch offer.
The new series places particular emphasis on battery replacement, alongside premium audio and noise-cancellation features. With the Momentum 5 Wireless priced at ₹39,990 and the Momentum True Wireless 5 at ₹29,990, Sennheiser is targeting users looking for higher-end wireless audio products in the Indian market.
