If you are looking for a mobile phone for kids or elders at home, which is easy to operate and not cluttered with unnecessary apps, then the new flip phone from Nokia can come in handy. HMD has introduced the Nokia 2360 Flip. It has two screens, a large keypad and an SOS button for emergencies. However, the company has not yet announced its price and sale date.
You’ll be able to change settings remotely with Family Support
Family Assist feature is provided in the phone. With it, a family member can add phone contacts, set reminders, and change volume or SOS settings from their Android or iPhone. This feature works via SMS, so it does not require a mobile data plan.
It also has school mode and parental control for kids. Parents can decide which numbers the child can call or message. These settings can be locked with a family PIN. If necessary, the SOS button can be used to call a pre-set number and send a message to five emergency contacts.
The phone has two screens
The Nokia 2360 Flip has a 2.8-inch QVGA display on the inside and a 1.77-inch screen on the outside. Caller information is displayed on the external screen, so there is no need to open the phone every time. It weighs around 121 grams. The phone will be available in Charcoal, Burgundy Red and Teal colors.
1450mAh battery and basic camera
The phone has a 1450mAh battery, which can be replaced if needed. The company claims that it can provide up to 15 days of standby time and up to 27.5 hours of talk time. It also has a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio and a QVGA camera with LED flash.
The phone has got an IP54 rating, which means it is protected from dust and light splashes of water. However, immersing it in water would not be appropriate. Pricing and on-sale date are still awaited.
