If you prefer to eat from a restaurant away from your home, there is no need to go there anymore. Food delivery platform Zomato has launched a new feature for customers called Limitless Delivery. With its help, users can also order food from restaurants located 40 km away from their delivery address. Until now, the options available on the app were mainly for restaurants that deliver near the customer’s home. With the arrival of the new facility, people will now have more options for food.
What will Zomato’s new feature change?
With the help of Limitless Delivery, customers can also order food from restaurants located in other parts of their city. To give you an example, if you live in Gurugram and you like the food of a particular restaurant in Delhi, you can now search for its name on Zomato. If that restaurant delivers to your address under this feature, you can order food from there.
The company says that the purpose of launching this feature is to give customers an opportunity to choose more restaurants. It means that you no longer have to depend only on nearby restaurants for your favorite food.
How to use Zomato Unlimited Delivery?
You don’t have to download any new app to use this feature. This feature will be available only in Zomato’s existing app. There are two ways to use it.
Method 1: Order from Explore More
- First of all open Zomato app on your smartphone
- Go to the app’s home screen
- Check out the quick link to Limitless Delivery in the Explore More section here
- As soon as you tap on this link, the list of restaurants available under the feature will appear.
- Select the restaurant of your choice and order food from the menu
Method Two: Search by Restaurant Name
If you want to order food from a particular restaurant, type its name in the search bar of the Zomato app. If that restaurant is available through Limitless Delivery to your delivery address, you will be able to order from there.
Facility started in these 7 cities including Delhi-NCR
Currently, Zomato has launched this feature in seven cities of the country. This includes:
- Delhi-NCR
- Mumbai
- Bengaluru
- Chennai
- Kolkata
- Pune
- Hyderabad
Users in these cities can see restaurant options within 40KM of their home.
Are there extra charges for long distance?
Along with this facility, there is also a question regarding the delivery fee. Will customers have to pay more to order food from 40KM away? Currently Zomato has not given any clear information about this. The company also did not say whether a separate delivery fee would be charged on limitless delivery orders. So, before confirming the order, please check the bill that appears on the app. Delivery charges, platform fees and other charges may vary depending on the order.
