The incident which took place in flydubai flight FZ 1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv is currently in discussion all over the world. Indian Captain Smit Machar continued to fight to save the plane and passengers even after being stabbed and injured by the Omani-origin co-pilot, setting an example of bravery that the PMs and Presidents of India, Israel, America and Russia praised him. Now everyone knows that Smit Machar saved the plane from crashing, but apart from him there is another 6-year-old girl, who was on board the plane, who played an important role in averting this major tragedy.

The girl’s name is said to be Nina Manes. In fact, when the Omani co-pilot was attacking Indian captain Smit Machar with a knife, the girl asked her mother, Tali Manes, to go to the toilet at the same time. According to reports, as soon as Nina’s mother approached the toilet with her, she heard screams from the cockpit and then raised the alarm, after which the cabin crew rushed to the cockpit.

‘There was blood everywhere in the cockpit’

Nina’s mother Tali Manes told Israel’s Channel 12, ‘There was blood everywhere in the cockpit and a very intense fight. I shouted and said he is stabbing the pilot, help come. People started looking at me and didn’t understand. Although seriously injured, the captain eventually managed to open the cockpit door, allowing the passengers to enter and overpower the assaulting co-pilot.

Hearing the screams, Nina’s father ran towards the cockpit.

According to The Sun newspaper, the plane lost its balance during the incident and fell 17,400 feet in about 90 seconds. Zvika Manes, Nina’s father, said that he immediately ran to the cockpit after hearing his daughter’s screams. “My daughter’s screams still ring in my ears,” he said.

He remembered the sound of his daughter crying, saying that she did not want to die. Zvika Manes said that I ran into the cockpit because of her screams. He and two other passengers then ran to the cockpit and helped subdue the alleged assailant. In one of the footages, passengers are seen helping the injured captain by holding him.

The second pilot landed the plane safely

According to a Flydubai spokesperson, after the horrific incident, the other pilot on board the plane took control of the plane and then helped the plane make an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
