Triumph has launched the updated Daytona 660 in India. Its initial ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 9.99 lakh. That means the price has increased by about 11 thousand rupees compared to the old model. However, this time a feature has been made standard in the bike, which earlier had to be paid for separately. Now the bi-directional quickshifter will be available only with the bike.

Apart from this, Triumph has tweaked the bike’s front suspension, changed the tire brand and added new color options. The company has not made any changes in the engine of the bike. That means that in the 2026 model, more attention has been paid to improving the bike’s riding experience and settings.

Front suspension now more adjustable

The new Daytona 660 features a 41mm Showa USD front fork, which now has the option of compression and rebound adjustment. This means that the rider can change the settings of the front suspension according to his needs.

How the front end of the bike reacts during braking or cornering can be tuned through this setting. However, suspension travel remains unchanged at 110mm as before. This means that no major mechanical changes have been made, rather the riding setup has been facilitated to be further fine-tuned.

This feature can be especially useful for riders who ride the bike on the track or want to set up the bike to their liking during sporty riding.

Quickshifter now standard

The biggest update on the 2026 Daytona 660 is the bi-directional quickshifter. Earlier it was an optional accessory, for which the customer had to pay separately. Now it has been included in the standard features of the bike.

With its help the gear can be shifted up and down without using the clutch. This feature can make riding smoother and faster, especially when changing gears at high speeds.

Metzeler tires now instead of Michelin

Triumph has also changed the tires of the Daytona 660. Michelin Power 6 tires were available on the old model, while on the 2026 model, the company has given Metzeler M9 RR tires.

Tires play an important role in the bike’s grip and cornering confidence. Tires can affect ride feel, especially on wet roads or varying road conditions. So, this small change may appear on the specification sheet, but its impact can be felt while riding.

There are no changes to the engine and rear suspension

In the new Daytona 660, the company has kept the engine as before. It has a 660cc inline-3 engine, which generates 94bhp of power and 68Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. A monoshock suspension with preload adjustment is available at the rear and has a travel of 130mm. This too has not been changed.

That means, if you were expecting more power or an increase in engine performance in the new model, there won’t be any major changes here. The focus of the 2026 update is on improving the bike’s ride and setup rather than adding more power.

Entry of new color option

Triumph has also introduced the 2026 Daytona 660 with a new color option. The bike now comes in Aluminum Silver with Sapphire Black, Cosmic Yellow with Sapphire Black and Sapphire Black colors. This gives buyers more options regarding the look of the bike compared to the older model.

A slight increase in price

The 2026 Triumph Daytona 660 is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. Compared to the old model, its price has increased by around 11 thousand rupees. In return, now you don’t have to spend money separately for a quickshifter and the front suspension also has an adjustment facility.

However, no changes have been made to the engine. So, instead of being more powerful, the new model of this bike can be said to have better features, more adjustments and updates that improve the riding experience.
