This is an important news for the youth who are preparing to get government jobs in Indian Coast Guard. Indian Coast Guard has recruited a total of 365 posts of Seaman (General Duty), Seaman (Domestic Branch), Mechanical and Hygienist-I. 10th-12th pass candidates can apply as per eligibility. The application process has started from 6th October 2026 and the last date is fixed as 21st October 2026. Interested candidates can fill the online form till 5:30 PM. As per the post selected candidates will get Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 29,200 as basic pay. Before applying, candidates must check the information about eligibility, age limit and selection process.
365 posts will be recruited
In this Indian Coast Guard recruitment, vacancies have been released for various posts. Candidates can apply for the respective post based on their educational qualification. This recruitment will be done under CGEPT batch 01/2027 and 02/2027.
What qualifications for which post?
- Seaman (General Duty): Must have passed 12th with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognized board.
- Sailor (Domestic Branch): Candidate should have passed 10th.
- Mechanical: Must have 10th pass and Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
- Hygienist-I: 10th pass or ITI qualified candidates can apply.
Age Limit and Application Fee
Candidates age should be between 18 to 22 years. However, the date of birth conditions prescribed for the respective post will also apply. General, OBC and EWS category candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 550. Whereas, SC and ST category candidates are exempted from fee.
How much salary will you get?
Candidates selected for the posts of Seaman (General Duty), Seaman (Domestic Branch) and Hygienist-I will be paid Rs.per month under Pay Level-3. 21,700 will be the basic salary. Under pay scale-5 for Mechanical posts, the basic pay is fixed at Rs 29,200 per month.
How will the selection be made?
The selection process consists of Computer Based Examination, Physical Functional Test (PFT), Appraisal/Adaptability Test and Preliminary Verification of Documents. After this, the process of final document verification and medical examination will take place at INS Chilka. Candidates have to fulfill the prescribed conditions in all stages.
