Decision of the Lucknow Bench on the application
Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court has given this decision while hearing a petition. Justice Pankaj Bhatia, hearing the petition filed on behalf of 45 candidates, directed that a public notice be issued to accept the applications of eligible candidates and also extend the last date of application if necessary.
D.El.Ed from NIOS did not get opportunity to apply for recruitment, recognition by NCTE
In a petition filed by the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court, the petitioners contended that he was an untrained contractual teacher till 2017, after which he completed 18 months of D.El.Ed from NIOS before April 1, 2019, which is recognized by NCTE. The petitioners stated that they were not given an opportunity to apply for the recruitment in the advertisement issued for the recruitment of Assistant Teacher. Citing the Supreme Court order, the petitioners said that teachers who have completed D.El.Ed from NIOS within the prescribed period are considered eligible for appointment and promotion.
Opportunity for all serving Contract Teachers with D.El.Ed.
The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has issued an order to include eligible contract teachers in the recruitment of assistant teachers based on the directions of the Supreme Court. The court directed that teachers serving on contract who fulfill all the same qualifications and other prescribed conditions along with the applicants should be given an opportunity to participate in the recruitment. The court ordered the release of the information through the official website to give officials an opportunity to apply.
