The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has completed the preparations for conducting the UP TET. Preparation to conduct UP TET twice a year
Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) is now working on a plan to hold UP TET twice a year, under which TET is planned to be held in July and January of every academic year. UP TET will be conducted on 26 and 27 February 2027, UP TET will be conducted in July 2027. After this, UP TET will be conducted in December-January. This information has been given by UPESSC in Allahabad High Court. For example, UPESSC will now conduct UP TET twice a year on the lines of CTET.
In fact, the National Council of Teaching Education (NCTE) has issued guidelines for taking the TET twice a year. Following this, UPESSC is working on a plan to conduct TET twice a year. Since 2011 till now, TET has not been conducted twice in any year in UP.
TGT recruitment candidates have got the chance till 30th June
The application process for TGT posts in UP is going on. UPESSC has given relaxation to non-TET candidates in TGT recruitment 2026 with conditions, under which non-TET candidates can apply for TGT recruitment 2026, along with this they can also appear in the recruitment exam, but it will be mandatory for all such candidates to clear TET by 30th June. In such a situation TET 2020 was recommended in UP2207. February is important for such candidates.
6 TET Opportunities for Shikshamitras
Allahabad High Court has directed UPESSC to give 6 chances to Shikshamitras to clear TET. These 6 opportunities are to be given till 31 August 2026. For example, in the years 2026, 2027 and 2028, Shikshamitras will be given 6 chances to appear in TET.
